Employee Spotlight: Erin Renfroe, Revenue Operations
Meet Erin Renfroe, a dedicated Revenue Operations Analyst at FSI, whose journey from marketing to operations exemplifies teamwork and impactful problem-solving.
In our latest Employee Spotlight, we sit down with an individual who supports customer success through internal solutioning and being a true team player across the organization. Meet Erin Renfroe, Revenue Operations Analyst, who has had the opportunity to impact FSI’s business in two different roles. Recently, she’s moved from supporting FSI’s Marketing activities into a Revenue Operations role where she keeps the systems, processes, and teams that power FSI’s growth running smoothly. Colleagues know her as someone who is always ready to jump in and help solve problems, whether that means generating webinar content or talking through an automation strategy.
A Marketing Foundation
Erin joined FSI as a Marketing Associate, drawn in by the company’s healthcare services niche and by the people she encountered throughout the interview process.
“My favorite part of working at FSI is the team,” she said. “Working with a group of great people who care about what they’re doing is something I look forward to every day.”
As a marketing associate, she worked across a wide range of projects, from designing magazine ads to coordinating trade show appearances, building skills while developing a deep understanding of FSI’s brand voice and story. Along the way, she gravitated toward reporting, process thinking, and finding ways to make things more accurate and easier to track.
The Move into Revenue Operations
Today, Erin supports the teams with the data and tools they need to make strategic decisions.
“Revenue Operations at FSI is about team enablement and strategy,” she said. “The work is focused on keeping internal processes between several teams moving, finding ways to make those processes more efficient, and supporting our teams with information or tools they need.”
Her marketing background turned out to be a meaningful advantage in the role. Having worked at the top of the funnel focusing on brand awareness and content, she now works closer to the bottom and can support the needs of teams across the full funnel as a result.
Seeing the Impact Up Close
One of the moments that has stuck with Erin most didn’t happen at her desk. During her time in the Marketing role, she joined FSI’s Data Collection team on-site at a customer location, tagging assets and inputting data directly into the software.
“With a software product, being able to actively use the tools you deliver and seeing firsthand the difference it makes in day-to-day work for our customers is such a valuable experience,” she said.
She’s also attended industry trade shows and conferences, connecting face-to-face with the HFM and HTM professionals whose work the software directly supports.
One Team, Every Day
For Erin, FSI’s “One Team” value isn’t just a phrase. It’s the one that resonates with her most.
“In Revenue Operations, I can focus energy on how I can support our processes to be more strategic and efficient long-term,” she said. “It’s surprising what pulling some numbers from a database or eliminating a few clicks from a workflow can result in over time in terms of strategy, efficiency, and less frustration.”
Looking Ahead
Moving forward, Erin is focused on unlocking what’s already available, digging into FSI’s tools to find capabilities that haven’t yet been fully leveraged.
“On average, teams only utilize a small percentage of the capabilities of the tools they’re using,” she said. “There are so many benefits to be unlocked by investigating underutilized pieces.”
Her advice to anyone just starting out at FSI: don’t be afraid to get involved. “Seeking out information and collaboration is a great strength,” she said.
With two years of growth behind her and a reputation for always being willing to help solve problems, whether that means pulling numbers from a database, building an automation, or walking a teammate through a new process, Erin is exactly the kind of player FSI’s One Team culture is built on. And she’s just getting started.
